Engineering Consulting Services: Wastewater Energy Solutions
Watergate Environmental Technologies (WET) is an SBA-certified Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) specializing in energy and cost-saving solutions for wastewater treatment processes. Partnering with Dr. Diego Rosso, WET has developed the Telemetric Off-Gas Analysis (TOGA) system, which provides continuous real-time analysis and optimism of the aeration stage in wastewater treatment. This innovative technology is based on extensive scientific research and is currently unrivaled on the market.

Assessment
The first step is always to meet with facility staff and operators to better understand their concerns and needs of their facility. Next, WET engineers conduct off-gas testing to determine the performance of the aeration basin. We then analyze data, and determine any irregularities or inefficiencies.
Reporting
WET provides detailed reporting and analysis for increasing energy efficiency and reducing operational costs.
Actions
WET then develops site specific solutions. We present options for reducing energy costs by monitoring dissolved oxygen content, off-gases and certain GHGs. Maximizing the efficiency of these systems and processes reduces peak electricity demand for a potentially significant cost savings.
Technology
WET tailors and builds our TOGA device based on the specific needs of the facility and its operations. The TOGA is capable of measuring and analyzing specific wastewater parameters (dissolved oxygen, ammonia, etc.), off-gases (O2, CO2), and other GHGs of interest to the facility.
TOGA
TOGA-C (Custom)
We offer a TOGA system designed with our engineers and the customer, to specifically address the customer’s needs.
Examples of things WET can offer:
- Monitor Green House Gas (GHG) emissions from the aeration basin of a WWTP.
- Capture and record data during off-gas testing/mapping via mobile units.
Installation
Recommendations and Actions
WET provides Project management services for everything from small private WRRFs to large multi-MGD facilities. Project management services include but are not limited to:
- New installation construction
- Retrofit
- Maintenance
